The U.S. Department of Education has released a blog, Progress: Teachers, Leaders and Students Transforming Education, which highlights promising practices, lessons learned, and resources related to implementing K-12 reforms. The blog was developed to provide educators, parents, leaders, and stakeholders with information on how state and local K-12 leaders across the country are implementing education reforms.

CCRS Center Completes Accelerated Learning Webinar Series

Last month, the College and Career Readiness and Success (CCRS) Center and the American Youth Policy Forum, completed its three-part webinar series on accelerated learning, which built off of the information in the CCRS Center issue brief, Understanding Accelerated Learning Across Secondary and Postsecondary Education.

This report describes the key findings of a national survey of state approaches to college and career readiness. The survey sought to answer four basic questions: how do states define career readiness; how is career readiness assessed; how do states use these assessments; and what other issues do states face related to assessing students for career readiness?

Thriving in Challenging Times: Connecting Education to Economic Development through Career Pathways

This report profiles 17 career pathways programs throughout the U.S. by providing information on the programs' partners, target populations and eligibility, challenges, strategies, funding, business engagement, results, and lessons learned. This publication also provides an overview of career pathways, a career pathways checklist that can be used to provide a snapshot of implementation, and a glossary.
