Did you know? High school seniors who set the postsecondary goal of earning a four-year degree are 28% more likely to apply to college than students with no aspirations to attend college. Students who aspire to complete an advanced degree are 34% more likely to apply to college than those who do not (Gilkey, Seburn, & Conley, 2011). These and other facts are now available in a new National High School Center fact sheets, College and Career Readiness: A Quick Stats Fact Sheet.  College and Career Readiness offers findings and statistics on the current status of high school graduates' readiness for life after high school. It highlights some of the challenges and opportunities facing high school students after graduation as well as some of the consequences and implications for America’s underprepared graduates.
