REL Northeast and Islands

REL Northeast and Islands (REL-NEI) is one of ten regional educational laboratories funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES) charged with helping states and districts systematically use data and analysis to answer important issues of education policy and practice with the goal of improving student outcomes. REL-NEI carries out its work primarily in collaboration with new or existing partnerships, or “research alliances” of practitioners, policymakers, and others who share a specific education concern. States assisted by REL-NEI include: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the Virgin Islands.
